Additional Information
■ FIBER GLASS
FIBER GLASS is a glass product, manufactured in combining raw materials of the low alkali glass compositing under high temperature, followed by fiber form through Bushing's nozzle. KCC FIBER GLASS offers high strength level, does not burn in fire, and offers excellent chemical resistance. Accordingly, it is used as the reinforcing material for the FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastics). Because of its excellent electric insulation, heat-resistance and durability, scope of its application is very wide as it is used for electric product, vehicle, parts for airplanes and other composite materials. In sum, it is a product with high utility value as the base material for new material development.
FIBER GLASS Characteristics
Mechanical characteristics : higher tensile strength compared to steel
Electronic characteristics : excellent electric insulation
Incombustibility : does not burn in fire and devoid of toxic material emission.
Measurement stability : low measurement transmutation following temperature and humidity level due to the low Thermal Expansion Coefficient
Chemical resistance : powerful chemical resistance

E-GLASS was originally deveoped for use in the electric product field, but its usage has increased today,
presently used widely in FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastics) and composite materials. Most of the FIBER SLASS is E-GLASS, and FIBER GLASS is also E-GLASS.

Direct Roving Characteristics
KCC Direct Roving is a product whereby approximately 800~4,000 filaments are gathered to ORGANIC COMPOUNDS to form single stand (referred as 'Single End Roving' because of the characteristic). Depending on the process, it classifies into use for weaving, filament for winding and pultrusion. KCC product indicates product identification codes such as DR 235, DR 236 and so forth along with the tex of Roving.
KCC Direct Roving product for pultrusion is E-glass type Direct roving, designed for continuous process of pultrusion molded item that requires high strength into one direction for the product such as Tent pole, structural Beam, Cable tray, hot stick and so forth, and it has the following characteristics.
1. Sizing Agent and excellent Strand aggregation capability for the commercial viability with UNSATURATE polyester, EPOXY, vinyl ester resin
2. Minimization of fuzz occurrence during pultrusion process and Roving's excellent unwinding
3. Manifest of excellent FRP characteristics with rapid resin impregnation and elegant surface
